Product Overview
The Sugia OmniScope E4 is a field-optimized all-in-one videoscope system designed for NDT inspection crews operating in environments where bench space is unavailable and setup time must be minimized. The entire system — 7.0-inch monitor, probe interface module, cable-management spool, and accessory storage — integrates into a single IP65-rated Peli-style carry case with a total deployed weight of 6.8 kg.
The 7.0-inch IPS LCD monitor achieves 1000 cd/m² sustained brightness, making it readable in direct tropical sunlight without a viewing hood. The capacitive touchscreen supports glove-compatible operation (tested with EN 388 mechanical-protection gloves up to 1.2 mm leather thickness). The probe interface module uses a military-spec (MIL-DTL-38999 Series III) circular connector for the probe-to-console link, rated for 5000 mate/demate cycles.
The 5.0 m insertion tube is tension-rated to 45 kg axial pull, permitting retrieval from deep vertical risers without leaving residual probe segments in the inspection volume. The system runs from a 95 Wh Li-ion pack providing 6 hours of continuous inspection with the monitor at 80% brightness. Dual SDHC card slots enable simultaneous redundant recording for critical inspection documentation where data loss is not acceptable.
Why inspectors choose the OmniScope E4
For field NDT crews consolidating probe, monitor, and recording into a single carry case, the E4 is a Cost-effective industrial videoscope that eliminates bench-space dependency and minimizes setup time. Its 1/6-inch CMOS sensor qualifies the platform as an HD CMOS industrial borescope for documenting boiler-tube oxide scale, pipeline corrosion, and box-girder internal condition under direct sunlight without a viewing hood.
Key Engineering Features
- 1000-nit Daylight Monitor: 7.0-inch IPS LCD with optically bonded cover glass (no air gap); anti-reflective coating reduces specular reflection to below 1.5% at 550 nm.
- Glove-Compatible Touchscreen: Projected-capacitive touch with adjustable sensitivity; validated with EN 388 leather, nitrile, and latex gloves up to 1.2 mm thickness.
- 5.0 m Tension-Rated Insertion Tube: 45 kg axial pull rating; tungsten/Dacron hybrid braid with laser-etched depth markings at 500 mm intervals from the distal tip.
- Dual Redundant Recording: Two independent SDHC card slots configurable for either simultaneous mirror recording or sequential overflow; both support UHS-I U3 cards up to 256 GB.
- Rugged Carry-Case Integration: IP65-rated (dust-tight, water-jet resistant) polymer case with pre-cut foam insert; system operable while nested in the case with the lid open.
